Michelle Hays is the Treasury and Accounting Assistant at Five States Energy, where she manages cash operations, bank reconciliations, financial reporting, and fraud detection protocols across the company’s accounts. She also contributes to the firm’s investor communications by authoring ESG-focused articles for the quarterly newsletter.
Prior to joining Five States in 2022, Michelle spent six years at Carlson Restaurants Worldwide in roles spanning financial analysis, reporting, and capital planning. Her work supported both domestic and international operations, with a strong emphasis on modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning.
She holds dual BBA degrees in Finance and Organizational Behavior and Business Policies from Southern Methodist University.
When not at work, Michelle enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and hiking.
